This Serious Eye Cream Erases Your Dark Circles in Four Weeks

I’ll be honest—I’m like a picky child when it comes to my makeup and skin care: I don’t like them touching on my plate, so to speak. Because fusing makeup with skin care is just as tricky as it sounds, I like to keep both realms separate and let them each do their best work on their own, instead of merging them together and settling for "subpar" results. I thought I knew what I was talking about; then I got to testing Colorescience’s new 3-in-1 Eye Treatment ($69) and it got me singing a whole different tune.

The treatment looks like your average eye wand—there’s a cooling tip to instantly de-puff, which is always appreciated for those who are always on the go—but the powerful, peach-tinted formula (this will cancel darkness on many skin tones) is what drew me in. Not only did it virtually erase my dark circles with one drop under each eye, but my skin in the area looked better on its own after a few days of wearing it in place of my regular concealer. Spiked with marine microalgae to increase under-eye firmness, polysaccharides to reduce excess pigmentation that causes dark circles, and hyaluronic acid and peptides to boost suppleness, curb bags and reduce the appearance of fine lines, this SPF 30–infused tube is here to put your past multitasking products to shame.

I had already moved the Total Eye into my makeup bag (I move quick), before the brand even showed me what the treatment could do if you used it for four weeks (brand supplied images below). After that, it was hook, line and sinker for me. It's officially launching on February 1, but you can pre-order on the site (which I've already convinced my family to do). One look at these results and you'll never use your regular concealer again—but you can easily layer it on top if you'd like more coverage with just as much power—which, come on, who wouldn't?

Before: Week zero; bare skin

After: Week four of applying Total Eye every day; bare skin
