The number of the health-conscious consumers in our country has risen exponentially over the past few years. More women than ever before are expressing concerns about the ingredients in the beauty products they use on a daily basis, and particularly the ones that come into direct contact with their skin. Some studies have even showed that women who wear lipstick consume at least one and half tubes of it in their lifetimes. What?! So, it makes sense that we should be taking a closer look at the products we use.

Luckily, Australian makeup brand INIKA—more than two-thirds of its collection is certified-organic and the others are naturally derived—offers a transparent solution for all of our color needs. Since it launched in Sydney back in 2006, it has made its way to the U.S. and become a new cult-favorite along the way.

From mascara and lipstick to foundation, makeup brushes and everything in between, all of the products contain ethically sourced ingredients—think minerals, botanicals and essential oils such as aloe vera, green tea, avocado, pomegranate, shea butter and more—and never come in contact with synthetic chemicals. Most of the products are also vegan, and all are cruelty-free, so be sure to check the labels (they’re clearly marked) to find what best suits your needs.

After testing a variety of the products, including eye, face and lip products, I was impressed. The BB cream is a new favorite of mine and gave my skin a smooth, flawless finish when I applied it with a makeup sponge. The cream eye shadow lasted all day without creasing, and the mascara wasn’t too dry like some other natural formulas I’ve tried. I was able to create a full face of makeup without any issues, and I felt confident knowing the products were nontoxic and “clean,” and didn’t harm the environment when they were made.

If you’re looking for a natural/organic alternative to your current makeup regimen, you won’t be disappointed with this lineup (prices range from $22 to $49). INIKA quiets the “haters” who say organic products compromise on efficacy. I’m a fan!
