First Look: Benefit’s New Brow Collection Is Here to Change Everything featured image

In case you haven’t noticed, brows are in. For the past few years, brow makeup sales have spiked, thanks to models, celebrities, beauty editors, Instagram stars, and now the general public adopting the notion that fuller brows are considered more beautiful and youthful. Gone are the days of excessive plucking, tweezing and waxing—now it’s all about filling them in and filling them out.

For most of my life, brows were an afterthought. My own brows are sparse, shapeless, and most annoying to me, completely uneven, and I generally addressed the problems by ignoring them. But, brows are one of those features that once you start noticing, you can’t stop, so the past few years have seen me turn from not thinking too much about them to full-on obsessed.

In my quest for the prefect brows, I have tried countless products and come to learn that it takes a lot more than just the ol’ pencil/spoolie combo to address all the various things that could be bugging you about your brows. That’s why I’m pretty stoked that Benefit Cosmetics (my long-time brow go-to) is completely revamping its brow line and coming out with a nine-product range on June 24.

Some of Benefit’s cult favorites like High Brow ($22) and Brow Zings ($32) have gotten makeovers, but the brand is also releasing completely new products—a brow primer and brow highlighter—that promise to leave no brow concern unaddressed. Below, I rounded up some of my favorites from the new collection, and more importantly, exactly how they can help you get the brows you want.

If your brows are too sparse, try BROWVO! Conditioning Primer.

With a one-two punch, this nutrient-rich product with keratin and soy protein nourishes hair and helps them grow in thicker and fuller, while also acting as a base, allowing brow makeup products to go on smoother and wear longer.

If your brows are too dense and monotone, try 3-D Browtones.

This highlighting gel adds subtle highlights and dimension to your natural brow color, transforming them from looking dull and flat (and if you use pencil, sometimes fake) to fuller, more natural-looking color. Pro tip: If your brow look feels a little too heavy handed, this can also help “dial down” the intensity without having to start over.

If your brows have patchy spots, use Goof Proof Brow Pencil and GimmeBrow.

The slanted tip and super smooth, glide-on formula of Benefit’s new brow pencil makes filling in blank spots and shaping them an easy one-step process. The wider side of the tip fills in spots while the pointy side defines the shape, so you can fill in your brows both quickly and precisely. Then use GimmeBrow, a Benefit classic, to add fibers and make your drawn on parts look like actual hair.

If you have shapeless brows, use Precisely My Brow.

The super fine point tip means you can draw in brow hairs anywhere you want and in any direction you want, letting you take full control over enhancing, adjusting or straight up creating your best brow shape.

If your brows lack definition, use Ka Brow Cream-Gel Color With Brush.

For a fully sculpted look, this cream-gel color gives you pigment that you can build up in intensity. The brush applicator deposits dense pigment exactly where you want it.

If you don’t want all your brow work to disappear, use Ready, Set, Brow!

All of Benefit’s brow products are long-lasting, many with up to 12-hour wear. But if you’re finding that’s still not enough, Ready, Set, Brow gives you 24-hour hold, keeping every single hair in place and locking in the makeup.

In the meantime see the products in action on BenefitCosmetics.com and get ready for your best brows ever!
