At 63 years old, Amy Sedaris still has a child-like lightness to her. Not only does she look youthful, but she also has a young energy about her that we want to bottle. After learning about her daily routine, we know what’s helping keep her looking and feeling so fresh—a barrage of skin-care products, sweet scents and bunny cuddles.
During her recent interview with Air Mail, Sedaris revealed she’s a skin-care obsessive. Some of her favorite products include La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser ($19), Goop Youth-Boost Peptide Serum ($150), Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum ($195), True Botanicals Renew Pure Radiance Oil ($120), Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream ($39) and Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream ($35). To treat jet lag, Sedaris sometimes calls in the big guns—a cup of tea and the SK-II Facial Treatment Mask ($30).
Although Sedaris says she’s not big into makeup, she recently found a product she really likes—Jones Road Miracle Balm ($38). Sedaris also treats herself to a monthly facial, which she admits mostly just involves a massage, at Sunday Skincare NYC.
When it comes to full body skin care, she loves Santa Maria Novella soap ($65), Linné VI.c Nurture Face and Body Balm ($64) and Epicuren After Bath Body Moisturizer ($51) (unscented in the winter but coconut in the summer). As for fragrance, Sedaris is a maximalist. “I do everything RuPaul says not to do. I mix five things, but my base is always Comme des Garçons Incense Avignon ($105),” she says. “My brother David says I smell like a strange cookie, maybe one with pencil shavings in it.”
