In 2019, Cosmetify debuted its first-ever Cosmetify Index, which ranks and rates 200 of the hottest beauty brands in the world based on a variety of factors, including Google searches, social following, engagement and more. Glossier was on top at this time last year, but so far in 2020, another brand has taken the crown: ColourPop.
From its less-than-$20, 42-shade foundation ranges to its fun Disney and influencer collaborations, ColourPop has been very busy making makeup lovers very happy. In the last year alone, the brand added a new category, faux lashes, and a new self-tanning lotion to its SOL Body collection. There's really something for everyone—I personally love the Lippie Pencils, and they're only $6!
As far as the most popular brand globally, Huda Beauty keeps its title after sitting at the top of the list last year as well—The Overachiever Concealer (it covers everything and then some!) was one of my favorite launches last year.
The most searched product so far this year has been L’Oréal Paris Magic Retouch Instant Root Concealer Spray, which comes as no surprise with much of the world in quarantine over the course of the last six months with no access to hair salons.
