Sarah Drew attended the 2022 CMA Awards last night in a dreamy look featuring a Monique Lhullier dress dripping in shimmer. Her outfit was accented perfectly with a dark red lip and radiant skin. The look was so striking, we had to know what went into it. Celebrity makeup artist Christin Cook Zito took us behind the scenes to get insider info on Drew’s timeless glam.
Skin
Cook Zito says the pair knew from the beginning they wanted to do a classic beauty look to compliment the gorgeous gown styled by Karen Raphael. First, Cook Zito prepped Drew’s skin with the Solawave Skincare Wand with Red Light Therapy ($169). “ It plumps the skin and gives the perfect refresh!”
Then Cook Zito went on to use Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer ($36). Cook Zito wanted “a hydrated look that wouldn’t budge all night," she tells us. She says Drew’s flawless, radiant skin was achieved by using “her new secret weapon,” Milk Makeup Future Fluid ($29).

She used "shades of gold to match her dress and soft amber brown to match her hair and add some soft smoke to her eyes.” Drew was sporting a new shade of red on her lips, Maybelline Super Stay Vinyl Ink Liquid Lipstick ($13). “I knew it would literally stay on her lips for 24 hours, so it was the perfect choice to give her a pop of color and vinyl shine.”
