It’s hard to remember a time the highly acclaimed and versatile Nicole Kidman was not gracing our screens with a transformative and passionate performance. From a Sunday-night HBO must-watch to a don’t-miss Netflix stream (and some Babygirl in between), the talented Kidman is a constant in Hollywood, beloved for her captivating characters and commitment to the craft. In honor of the beloved actress’s 58th birthday, we look back at her most trusted beauty secrets, products and all-around memorable moments.

Sun Solid

While she may be known as being from Australia, Kidman was actually born in another sun-drenched part of the world, Honolulu, which may have a little to do with why her roots for sun protection run so deep. As the long-time Neutrogena spokesperson shared on a panel in 2019, she is consistent with applying SPF—although her husband, Keith Urban, hasn’t always been as diligent. “I wouldn’t have paid any attention to the [sunscreen] messaging if I had had olive skin,” she shared at the time. “But because I was so fair, I would burn within 15 minutes and my holiday would be over; I’m also pale and I want to stay pale…I will now be really, really adamant with my husband that he can’t tan and use a lesser sunscreen—that’s what he thought you could do, and I think a lot of people think that. I’m always wanting to learn. There is a lot of fallacy out there…I care a lot about my skin and my children’s skin and the health of my family.” One of Kidman’s personal non-negotiables: Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Broad Spectrum SPF 100+, which she has mentioned using on several occasions.

Hair Healer

Kidman’s long-time hair guru, Adir Abergel, is the creative force behind Virtue Labs, which is the line he uses on the star very often. When Kidman walked the red carpet at the recent 2025 Met Gala, all eyes were on her transformative new hairstyle—a shorter, structured silhouette that embraced elegance and individuality, courtesy of Abergel. According to the brand, the tailored look had a full Virtue lineup, including the Damage Reverse Serum ($60), Volumizing Primer ($40), Un-Frizz Cream ($44) and the Healing Oil ($45).

Oil Pull

According to a 2017 article interview with Vogue, there’s room for another hair oil in Kidman’s arsenal: “I’ll put Philip B [Rejuvenating] Oil ($45) in my hair overnight, and then I’ll chill out.”

Strand Partner

As announced on her Instagram in 2022, Kidman is also a fan of the Los Angeles–based Vegamour hair brand. She partnered with the line as both an investor and its wellness advocate. “I’m excited to share my partnership with @Vegamour 💕 I love their focus on hair wellness and the plant-based formulas. I think you will too xx.” In a separate interview with Forbes, Kidman shared that she particularly respected the products for the self-care connection: “Once I learned about where they source ingredients and how they are supporting those communities through ethical harvesting, I knew that I wanted to support that mission. It wasn’t about being the face of the brand or selling products, but being an advocate for a holistically-minded lifestyle that prioritizes self-care.”

Signature Scent

What does Kidman smell like? According to the cult-classic exotic white floral Kai ($84), the fragrance counts the A-lister as a devotee. As Kidman herself shared with People in a 2019 interview, she also has a special spot for a fellow actress’s creation: “I have fallen in love with all of Michelle Pfeiffer’s Henry Rose fragrances. My favorites are Torn ($120) and Last Light ($120).”

Plant Power

As the global brand ambassador and a strategic partner of SeraLabs since 2020, Kidman “swears by the brand’s Seratopical Revolution line.” According to the brand, “the line features clean, plant-based and cruelty-free products that are powered by clinically-backed ingredients and patented skin-care technology that allows the formulas to penetrate deep into the skin” to offer the best possible results. “I’ll first put my hair up and take my makeup off,” the actress has shared. “Then, I lather my Clarity Foaming Cleanser ($25) for a few minutes to get a really deep clean. It smells amazing and makes my skin look completely refreshed the next morning. Next, I’ll use the Seratopical Revolution Adoring Eye Serum ($45), which is so luxurious and so effective around the sensitive eye area.”

Light Source

The Solawave 4-in-1 Radiant Renewal Facial Wand ($169) may be tiny, but it’s been well-publicized that it is a popular at-home choice for celebrities like Kidman, Jennifer Coolidge, Reese Witherspoon and Sydney Sweeney.

Glow Team

Kidman often collaborates with celeb makeup artist Gucci Westman for the red carpet, and on more than one occasion, products like her Westman Atelier Complexion Drops ($68) in Atelier 0 have popped up on the beauty notes. “Gucci’s work is just like her personality,” Kidman told Vogue. “Chic and effortless. I love the way she does my makeup, but I love the time we get to spend together while we’re getting ready just as much.”
