Madonna is the new face of The One, Dolce&Gabbana Beauty’s iconic fragrance that helped define modern celebrity perfume when it launched 20 years ago.
To mark the milestone, the luxury brand has unveiled a new global campaign. Released as striking stills and a short film, the visuals star the pop icon alongside actor Alberto Guerra. Together, they channel the fragrance’s warm blend of amber, jasmine and vanilla through steamy, cinematic imagery that leans boldly sensual (and fair warning: may not be office-friendly).
The campaign builds on Madonna’s decades-long creative relationship with Dolce&Gabbana, which dates back to the brand’s early runway years and includes a 2010 campaign photographed by the legendary Steven Klein.
“We picked a celebrity that has always been very close to Dolce&Gabbana and its history; she’s been part of this brand’s legacy,” said chief executive officer Gianluca Toniolo in an interview with WWD. “Since the mid-‘90s, she’s been close to the codes of the house… and when you look for a talent to embody the concept of being ‘The One,’ well, that’s what she’s been doing for 30 years."
Alongside the campaign, Dolce&Gabbana Beauty is expanding The One fragrance lineup with two new launches: The One Eau de Parfum Intense ($177) and The One for Men Parfum ($190), as well as an updated version of The One for Men Eau de Parfum ($145). Each builds on the original’s warm, sensual signature, with richer depth and longer wear.
