Happy birthday, Kelly Ripa! The daytime TV fixture turns 56 today, and she’s one of the many celebrities who seem to have been blessed with the Benjamin Button effect. Despite saying numerous times that she doesn’t get much sleep, her skin still looks smooth, firm and glowing. And after marking 25 years on Live this past February alongside her husband and Live With Kelly and Mark cohost, Mark Consuelos, she looks more radiant than ever.
So how does the TV personality and mom of three maintain her luminous complexion? In honor of her big day, we did some digging into Ripa’s skin-care routine, and these are the must-haves she keeps in her regular rotation.
Ripa’s Skin-Care Routine

“I take a big bowl of ice and I put my jade face roller, my two rose quartz face rollers, and my Jillian Dempsey Gold Sculpting Bar all on ice,” Ripa told Prevention. “While they’re cooling, I moisturize my skin and then I roll.”

Ripa told NY Mag that she doubles down on sunscreen now after paying the price for the damage she did to her skin as a teenager in the Jersey Shore sun.
“What I like about this sunscreen, first of all, is that it’s full-coverage. It’s that broad-spectrum, UVA-UVB and whatnot sunscreen, but it’s tinted in a way that sort of makes you look sun-kissed and not a weird color. A lot of tinted products tend to make you look orange or way too dark, to the point where you don’t even look like yourself. This is just like a light coverage, so it looks like maybe you put on foundation, maybe you didn’t, who knows?”

A Tried-and-True Neurotoxin: Botox Cosmetic
Ripa has been open about her love for Botox for more than a decade, which is super refreshing (why can’t all celebs just be honest about their tox!).
Back in 2012, Ripa told Marlo Thomas, “My biggest secret is not that big of a secret: I just get Botox and it helps everything. Mark likes to say that Botox changed his life, and he doesn’t have any—because it takes me half as long to get ready now without the perma-frown. My kids used to say, ‘Are you mad at me?’ and I couldn’t figure out why.”

In 2024, Ripa (also a L’Oréal Paris brand ambassador) shared a video on Instagram, applying this fan-favorite moisturizer. “It is creamy, it is smooth, it is hydrating,” Ripa says. “It has hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and pro-retinol cream all in one little jar, and it’s a really good price point…I can honestly say that I see such an improvement in the overall quality of my skin. My skin looks even, and I see a decrease in my wrinkles.”
The host is also a big fan of the same cream with sunscreen added to the formula (L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Triple Power Sunscreen SPF 30), calling it a “lifesaver” with “quadruple power.”

“I guess this is my anti-aging secret—this and Botox, if we’re being honest,” Ripa told NY Mag. “It’s pricey but worth it. I think this oil works really well for my skin. First of all, it’s beautifully scented. Like, my husband wants to kiss my face after I put it on.
Second, it feels great. I apply it first thing in the morning when I’m fresh out of the shower, and then right before I go to bed. And when I wake up in the morning, my skin still feels moisturized. It hasn’t evaporated into the abyss in the middle of the night.”

“I fell asleep with makeup on for, I want to say, the first 28 years of my life,” Ripa told NY Mag. “That used to be a thing, I swear. Now that I’m wiser, I guess you could say, I am telling you: It is urgent to take your makeup off. Every night, no matter how tired you are, no matter how fun the club was, you have to do it.
These wipes from Alcone are so efficient. You don’t have to scrub your skin to get the makeup off, and they don’t leave your skin feeling greasy either. The older you get, your skin becomes like a piece of paper, so you want to really be gentle with it.”
