The ingredient of aloe doesn't always get the skin-benefiting attention it deserves. Sure, it's a nice staple to have on hand when a (gasp!) sunburn hits, but its status is a bit shaky as far as getting credit for a hard-hitter goes.
A List–approved Aloisia Beauty is hoping to change all that, and first up is its Deep Hydration Aloe Gel Mist ($17.50), which counts Adriana Lima, Ami Desai, Phaedra Parks, and Erin Ziering (for starters) as fans.
The formula—which is a mix of aloe vera water, aloe vera, hydrolyzed collagen peptides, witch hazel and green tea—is a little different than the norm, in that you can actually see the gel in the bottle (so it looks somewhat solid), but it comes out as a fine mist when spritzed.
Besides delivering a superhydrating experience (the company says the special formula helps skin retain moisture, since water-based mists can actually "strip" the complexion during the natural evaporation process), the refreshing spray also reduces redness almost on-contact, soothes inflammation and irritation, and helps protect against environmental stressors. Plus, it works double-duty as a makeup setter and primer—making it the perfect multitasker for summer.
