Actress Ayo Edebiri is living her best life, and her charisma is contagious. At tonight's 75th annual Emmy Awards, she stunned wearing a custom, 3-D molded Louis Vuitton dress. Also a TV writer, Edebiri won the Golden Globe Award last week for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series—Musical or Comedy, for her work on Hulu's The Bear. She also won a Critics Choice Award last night for Best Actress in a Comedy Series.
On tonight's E! red-carpet pre-show event, Laverne Cox asked Edebiri if the younger her had dreams of nights like this. Edebiri replied: "She didn't dream of nights like this. She sort of dreamed of just like...dental insurance [laughs]. We've got dental, we've got eye, we've got ear. We can go to the dermatologist and get that yearly checkup. Check your moles people. Wear sunscreen even if you're black, and check your moles." We could not agree more!
Cox joked about how important dental insurance really is, and Edebiri said, "It really is. I found out I grind my teeth at night, which is something I didn't know about myself." Needless to say, the comedic actress had us cracking up, as I'm sure everyone at else watching was as well.
