The champagne carpet at tonight’s 95th Academy Awards was a cascade of beautiful ethereal fashions and soft, angelic makeup to match. The gorgeous nominees, performers and presenters who graced the carpet let their glowy complexions take center stage with subdued looks that featured fresh, natural, nude lips. Here, the best understated glam that caught our eyes at this year’s Oscars.
Zoë Saldana
Makeup artist Vera Steimberg applied Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in shade 61 ($45) and Lip Liner 162 ($32) on the Avatar star to complement her fresh-faced glow.
Jamie Lee Curtis
Curtis’s makeup artist Grace Ahn used Anastasia Beverly Hill’s new nude taupe beige lip liner in Muted Mauve ($18), the new Matte Satin Lipstick in Haze ($23) and topped it off with the Amber Sparkle Lip Gloss ($20) on the first-time Oscar winner.
Eva Longoria
Celebrity makeup artist Elan Bongiorno gave Longoria a full face of L’Oreal and we spotted the L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Original Satin Lipstick ($11) in shade Le Wood Nonchalant in her kit.
Cate Blanchett
Celebrity makeup artist Mary Greenwell let the regal blue of Blanchett’s dress shine, giving the best actress nominee a peachy lip and a bronzy eye. Hair stylist Robert Vetica created an elegant textured do by gathering and pulling back a “big fat braid,” and held it together with Better Not Younger Wake Up Call High Hold Thickening Hairspray ($35).
Sofia Carson
Performer Carson brought glamour to the red carpet with an elegant Hepburn-inspired updo and a soft, blush lip.
Vanessa Hudgens
Fast becoming the one to watch on award show red carpets, Hudgens paired her classic updo with a neutral, brown eye and a barely-there nude lip. Makeup artist Tonya Brewer used Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Lipstick in Nude Beige ($59) and topped it with the Maifanshi gloss in Shimmer ($35).
Halle Berry
Makeup artist Jorge Monroy prepped Berry for the big night with CurrentBody Skin’s cult favorite LED Face Mask ($380). Her soft glam was highlighted with pinky-nude lips that picked up the tone of the bejeweled roses on her Tamara Ralph custom gown.
Angela Bassett
Celebrity makeup artist D’Andre Michael certainly did the thing with gorgeous glam that played off Bassett’s royal purple Moschino gown.
Cara Delevingne
Giving true Hollywood glam, Delevingne paired her Elie Saab gown and Bulgari jewels with a rosy lip courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo who also used individual Ardell lashes ($6) to give her shimmery scarlett eyes an extra “pop.”
