Diamond Tip Microdermabrasion

Cost: $80-$100 in SOUTHEAST area

I ve always been dedicated to skin care and have recieved regular facials since my late 20s with satisfactory results.Recently I felt the need to kick it up a notch and alternate IPL treatments with microdermabrasion as add ons.I saw the most improvement in brightness to complexion and even a little more fullness with the microderm. There is no downtime or discomfort, just make sure to be extra vigilant with the sunscreen afterward.

Microdermabrasion can be a wonderful treatment but that will depend on what one is looking to accomplish. If you are looking for a great "transformation" thats not the answer. I would recommend a chemical peel long before a microdermabrasion treatment. Microdermabrasion is a great last minute treatment. It will freshen up the skin, help with large pores and really get your skin nice and glowing for that special event you are going to. IF you are looking to address more serious concerns a chemical peel is the answer. But if you dont have the downtime associated with peels and if you havent had one and not sure what to expect microdermabrasion is great because is just that quick fix treatment that will get your skin radiant in no time! Theres room for everyone!

Microdermabrasion was no help

Jordan C. said

I have spent so much time and money on different procedures to fade my acne scars but i have yet to find one. My final try was with microdermabrasion but i actually think it left my skin worse than before. the scars are still there and now my skin is slightly discolored. Maybe i have to wait but i feel that if it hasnt helped within a week of the procedure, it wont ever work.

they were GREAT!

I've had a couple of SilkPeel treatments, and they were GREAT! Everyone was amazed at how my skin was so soft and bright. my smaller pores are amazing and i have so many less blackheads. Its not harsh like microdermabrasion and a great alternative.

broken blood vessels

Fay C. said

I usually take good care of my skin but had never had a microdermabrasion treatment done so decided it might help clear up some minor acne scars and hyperpigmentation i had on my face. My dermotologist said it was something i should try so went ahead and did it. This was a huge mistake. The treatment actually broke blood vessels on one of my cheeks and in small sections on my forhead. i hope that it was just that i was in the wrong hands rather than this treatment doing the same damage to many others.

Microderm. left scabs

I was left with huge scabs after my first microdermabrasion. they are infected and painful. i dont recommend this procedure to anyone.

At-home is better than in-office

I have previously had expensive microdermabrasion at a plastic surgeon's office but  I have found the home version to be just as effective if not more...and of course less expensive.

I have had a few silk peel treatments and my skin is softer and a great deal less aging lines. Most of all I see a huge change  in the skin of my neck. Its firmer and gives me a younger look. Couldn't be happier!

It is not just for women!

I have had about 4  microdermabrasion treatments and I am amazed with this  treatment. It is the first thing which has really helped my acne condition for the long term. It is not just for women!

Microdermabrasion in-office

I have microdermabrasion treatments on a regular basis to keep my skin glowing. I have to  say  I have seen people who get very strong peels and then end up burning thier skin. they are left very shiny and it does not look normal at all! Be careful how you use at home products too because you could really damage your previous skin. I strongly suggest going into to see a professional for these types of skin procedures.

might not be worth the money

A couple days ago I was offered a free microdermabrasion treatment when I went in for a facial. I had only heard the treatment peripherally but decided to try it out. There is no pain involved but more of a rough, abrasive feeling. My skin felt soft for a couple days but I didn't see any significant improvement (...I don't have a lot of skin problems though so this might not be a procedure I would actually need). I enjoyed the results but probably wouldn't pay to do it again.
