Stephanie Shepherd Suganami, or as her friends and the internet know her, Steph Shep, has made a lot of adjustments in her life. Starting out her career as Kim Kardashian’s executive assistant and moving up to chief operating officer, she began her working life with a bang. According to The Cut, she’s now onto something different, focusing on climate education through her newly founded non-profit Future Earth. With this new venture, she has been switching around her beauty routine—and these are the products she’s been loving (without the guilt!).
The 30-year-old starts by breaking down her makeup routine. Dishing on the Jillian Dempsey Cheek Tint in “Petal” ($28), she says, “You can put it all over your face really—you can use it on your lips, you can put on your cheeks. I just use my fingers to apply it, and it also smells really good. I don’t know how to describe it, but it’s really fresh.”
Also included in her lineup is IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Brush #7 ($40), which is great for applying foundation and concealer, but she likes to use it to blend out the Westman Atelier Face Trace Cream Contour Stick ($48). “Biscuit is the perfect shade. I don’t love an orange kind of color, and this one has a little more gray in it so it reads more natural,” she tells The Cut.
Next up she shares her skin-care products, starting with the ultra-hydrating ReFa 3-Piece Mist Set ($380), a reusable product that she says has replaced her facials during the pandemic. “I have a really incredible facialist in L.A., Inara Lopetaite at L’inara Skin Care, and she uses the Biologique Recherche products so she put me on to the line,” she adds, pinning the Biologique Recherche Eau Micellaire Biosensible as her all-time favorite micellar water.
For moisturizer, Shep loves the pollution-fighting Codex Beauty Labs Antu Brightening Moisturizer ($85) and her go-to sunscreen is Biossance Squalane + Zinc Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 PA +++ ($30). “This is my favorite sunscreen,” she says. “This is another clean beauty brand that I really love. I find their products to be extremely efficacious.”
Lastly, she raves about COSRX BHA Blackhead Liquid ($25), saying, “I love anything that makes me feel like I’m really cleaning my skin, and this exfoliates without having to feel like I’m actually exfoliating.” To top it all off, she applies the worth-the-investment Celluma PRO ($1795) before bed to help everything sink in.
