Sarah Jessica Parker claims she’s no influencer, but in my mind, she’s the original influencer. She’s already inspired a generation of women’s fashion choices thanks to pretty much every outfit she wore on Sex and the City, and judging by one of her most recent Instagram posts, she might end up having an impact on your next beauty buy as well.
On May 19, the 60-year-old And Just Like That… star posted an Instagram video where she’s seen twirling Tarte Cosmetics Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump ($27) in her fingers. “Oh, Tarte, what have you done,” she says in the background. Parker didn’t give any further context on what she likes about the product or why she shared the video, but she made clear in the video’s caption that the post isn’t branded, and that she’s “not an influencer…I am just the ‘appliquee.’”
Still, she made sure to thank her makeup artist for introducing her to the gloss.
Tarte’s Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump is one of the brand’s best-selling products, and it’s available in 44 shades. Per a product description, the gloss is a non-sticky formula that’s supposed to give the lips a plumper appearance while also hydrating them with ingredients like hyaluronic acid and superfruits.
