Sarah Jessica Parker is currently filming season 3 of everyone’s favorite guilty-pleasure TV series, And Just Like That… so you know every SATC fan in New York has their eyes out for incredible fashion sightings all over the city. What many may not be as familiar with is the behind-the-scenes beauty details Parker’s makeup artist, Elaine Offers, frequently spills on social media, too.
Case in point: last May, Offers shared a glimpse of the blushes and highlighters worn by Carrie in season 2 of AJLT. “I use a lot of creamy products for a glowy and dimensional look,” Offers explained on Instagram. Then she shared the lineup: Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate in 1.0 Light ($95), Stila Cosmetics Convertible Color in Lillium ($25), MERIT Beauty Flush Balm in Cheeky ($30)—also worn by Emily in Paris‘ Lily Collins—and Finding Ferdinand Tender Blush in Attitude (originally 28, now $22).

If you’re looking for a cream blush, this is a worthy pick, sale or no. Why? Makeup artists almost universally agree that cream blushes (or liquid) are the better option for dry or mature skin types. “These styles give the skin a dewy flush and a subtle lit-from-within glow,” celebrity makeup artist Kat Guevara previously told NewBeauty. The TL;DR: creamy formulas won’t cling to dry skin or accentuate fine lines like a powder formula may. A reviewer in their 70s agrees: “This is by far the best cream blush I have ever tried!
