Sarah Hyland is the latest star to take it back to the ’90s. And as her flawless Critics’ Choice look showed, she did it in an easy-to-copy makeup style, complete with some skin-loving benefits.

“For Sarah‘s Critics’ Choice Awards look, we wanted to keep it really classy, but sexy with a little bit of a ’90s flair,” shared celebrity makeup artist Denika Bedrossian, aka @dendoll. After prepping the skin with FaceGym tools, Bedrossian says she “wanted to achieve a gorgeous glow from within.” After applying foundation, she applied the Grande Cosmetics GrandeGLOW Plumping Liquid Highlighter ($25) in French Pearl followed with GrandePOP Plumping Liquid Blush ($25) in Sweet Peach. “I love this combo, it’s so natural and gives lift and plump to the cheeks,” she says.

The lightweight liquid blush uses a proprietary “rapid skin lifting system,” which the company says helps firm and tighten fine lines, while delivering a dewy glow.

Bedrossian also notes that she “kept the eye really sexy” using the Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid Lustre ($36) in Velvet “and warmed up the crease with a rich brown.” She then tightlined the eye using the GrandeLINER Liquid Eyeliner ($36) and applied GrandeDRAMA Mascara ($25) for volume and definition. Bedrossian groomed Sarah’s brows using the GrandeBROW 2-in-1 Tinted Brow Gel + Brow Enhancing Serum ($38) in Medium. “Finally, we wanted a beautiful nude lip, so I used a natural lipstick and warm brown lip liner to create shape and warmth,” she says. To finish off the lips, Bedrossian topped with the GrandeLIPS Hydrating Lip Plumper ($27) in Toasted Apricot, a shade she calls “a perfect peach.”
