Rihanna isn’t letting her third pregnancy stop her from serving looks. A few weeks after her appearance at the Met Gala (where she casually revealed she and her partner A$AP Rocky are expecting their third child), the singer and beauty mogul has spent the last few days hanging out at the Cannes Film Festival in France. On May 19, she attended the Highest 2 Lowest premiere wearing a gorgeous turquoise Alaïa gown, but it was her glam, which featured a glossy nude lip, that I couldn’t get enough of.
Rihanna’s makeup featured soft, peachy tones, and her lips were lined at the outer corners and topped with a nude gloss. Her makeup artist, Hector Espinal, shared the look on Instagram, revealing that he achieved the color using products from Fenty Beauty. According to the official Fenty Beauty Instagram page, Espinal lined Rihanna’s lips with the Trace’d Out Longwear Waterproof Pencil Lip Liner ($20) in two different shades: “Rubbabandz,” which is described as a warm tan color, and “I Woodn’t,” which is a more neutral brown. He topped the color off using the Gloss Bomb Stix High-Shimmer Gloss Stick ($25) in the shade “Fenty Glow.”
Leave it to Rihanna to prove that you can really never go wrong with a simple nude lip. The brown lip liner and gloss combo appears to be a nod to ’90s supermodel lip that seems to be making a big comeback these days.
