As the eternally youthful-looking Ralph Macchio preps for a new memoir, Waxing On, and Season 5 of Cobra Kai, the 60-year-old Karate Kid star shares his all-time favorite skin-care, SPF and shaving products, all while defending his longtime love for the Mets.

“There are a few things for me to be excited about this fall,” he shares. “First off, Cobra Kai Season 5 drops on Netflix. What an amazing ride that continues to be. And then, in October, I have my first-ever book coming out, a memoir entitled Waxing On. The book dives into my personal journey with The Karate Kid universe from the earliest days of making the original film through its undying relevance today. The launch of these two projects should keep me pretty busy—however, I will definitely find some time to check out the MLB postseason!”

01: Dynamic Duo

“Some of my favorite staples for skin care have been these two Kiehl’s products: Facial Fuel ($32) and Creme de Corps ($41). I use both of these often, especially in the winter when everything is so dry.”

02: Razor’s Edge

“I love the Cade Shaving Cream from L’Occitane Homme ($29). I picked it up about seven years ago, as I was drawn to the name “Cade.” Johnny Cade was the character I portrayed in The Outsiders, so that inspired the purchase and it has stuck around ever since. Stay gold!”

03: SPF Star

“I’ve recently been experimenting with Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen ($20). It has become quite popular, and I wanted to see what it was all about. It’s different from a lot of the sport lotion sunscreens I have used in the past. I definitely see what the appeal is, and it does provide very good invisible protection. I’m on board.”

04: Holy Grail

“For years, I have consistently used L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin hairspray ($15). Most of the hairstylists I have worked with use it, and I have grown accustomed to it. I would imagine it’s become an old-school theory of, ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.’ It works for me.”

05: On-Set Staples

“The Braun MobileShave M90 travel razor ($28) is a staple. With the 5 a.m. wake-up calls, I do a less-than-stellar job of shaving with my eyes half-closed, so we keep this around for clean-ups and missed spots in the makeup trailer—I think I have three of them in various backpacks and desk drawers. Cococare Cocoa Butter Lip Balm ($2) is another constant. For some reason, this has become the on-set favorite for me and many of the cast who love the cocoa-butter smell. During Season 4, when we were filming during winter in Atlanta, I went through more than a few of these.”
