I’m a huge fan of a multi-step evening skin-care routine. Step by step, product by product, these are my moments of calm and self-care. However, catch me trying to get through the morning and you’ll barely recognize the zen woman mindfully applying serums and masks and mists the night before. (Most mornings, if I can throw on lip balm, I call that a win.) In my quest to achieve some semblance of a morning skin-care routine, I’ve been on the hunt for multitasking products that are simple to use, but don’t skimp on efficacy.
My new morning must-have.
My current product of choice is Mudmasky’s Serum-Infused Moisturizer ($44). Not only is this a clean moisturizer that packs a serious anti-aging punch, it’s also a collagen-boosting serum. The formula includes fruits, oils, antioxidants and essential fatty acids, the likes of which naturally improve skin elasticity. Apple fruit extract is a natural source of alphahydroxy acids (AHAs) that gently exfoliate. Antioxidant-rich mango and kiwi fruit extract boasts a bevy of vitamins and minerals that helps skin retain a youthful glow. Sweet almond oil and aloe vera hydrate and soothe.
Despite its texture being similar to a lightweight cream, I found the Serum-Infused Moisturizer to be ultra-nourishing to my dry skin. Even after swapping it in to replace my heavier winter cream, my skin was hydrated and comfortable all day long. I’m also now not the only skin-care enthusiast in my apartment. My husband tried the fragrance-free formula when his skin felt particularly dry, and now he reaches for it daily.
After two weeks, the results from Mudmasky are impressive: After each use my skin looks plump and glowy, and feels comfortably hydrated. For now, I don’t mind one bit if it’s the only product I manage to get on in the morning.
