If you’ve been keeping an eye on Lancôme‘s social media as of late, you may have noticed a sort of Avengers-like assembling of early 2000s television icons coming back to their beloved on-screen personas to promote the return of one of Lancôme’s most iconic products: the Juicy Tube ($25). While we’ve already seen Ed Westwick come back into his Chuck Bass self, Hilary Duff chat with her Lizzie McGuire alter ego and Kelly Rowland be transported to her Destiny’s Child days, now we get to experience Mischa Barton’s experience with the iconic Juicy Tube, as she dishes the deets on her iconic OC kiss.
Mischa Barton Joins the Lancôme Juicy Tube Family
“The OC was filled with drama (hellllllo Tijuana…) and some of our favorite love stories,” the brand explains. “Mischa Barton’s ferris wheel kissing scene on the The OC was an all-time favorite of ours, because kissing—even way up in the sky—is better with Juicy Tubes. Fun fact: Spring Fling and Marshmallow Electro are Barton’s favorite shades and she’s not gatekeeping them during their 2025 comeback.” But let’s be clear, as Lancôme and its star-studded campaignes have proved, this is not a comeback—Juicy Tube has always been that girl.
“Aren’t you so glad that Juicy Tubes are back?” Barton begins in her Juicy Tube campaign video. “My favorite moment with the Lancôme Juicy Tubes was the ferris wheel scene,” The OC actress confirmed, before revealing that her two favorite Juicy Tube shades were (and continue to be) the peachy Spring Fling and the subtle Marshmallow Electro. While she jokes that yes, this may be an ad, Barton ended her nostalgic video with a sentiment that always rings true: “Lips are better with Juicy Tubes.”
