Mariska Hargitay and her long-time (literal) partner in crime, Chris Meloni, just hit the Emmys’ red carpet and we are obsessed with the Law & Order stars’ looks, including Hargitay’s best-in-show blowout.
The secret, according to her hairstylist, Sami Knight: A little mousse in the form of a social media–approved hair hack.
“For this effortlessly glamorous look, I prepped damp hair with the hOURS Full-Time Plumping Mousse ($27), which helped created a luxurious blowout with ends that were smoothed and soft, using a large round brush,” Knight shared, while he demonstrated his “hack” of pumping the mousse directly to his brush for “really even distribution” on his Instagram stories.
“Next, I went through the hair with a 1.5-inch curling iron, wrapping 2-inch sections of hair away from the face and misting each section with hOURS Mostly Modest Hairspray ($30) for heat protection and hold before I applied the heat. Once cooled, I brushed through with a paddle brush, teasing slightly at the crown for some added va va voom. Lastly, I gave a generous spray of hOURS A Little Controlling Fixing Spray ($30) to keep everything in place. Gorgeous!”
