The curve cut is one of the most flattering hairstyles across the board. It’s the haircut you see on early 2000s heroines and Rachel Green when she’s wearing her iconic long layers. Now, Madonna just made a case for the Rachel cut being the best way to wear long hair in your 60s.

Celebrity hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons recently gave Madonna the curve cut, sharing a carousel of photos and videos showing off the shape. “For Madonna’s cut I wanted to give her something fresh and glamorous for the holidays so we kept it long, but I added a lot of face-framing layers in the front,” Fitzsimons told us. “The more layers on long hair, the more styles you can achieve.”

To “give it a bouncy blowout look perfect for the holidays” Fitzsimons first blow dried her hair straight with the WavyTalk Pro Fast Drying Hairdryer ($100) and then curled the ends and layers inward with the viral WavyTalk Pro Thermal Brush ($52)

Fitzsimons has been the mastermind behind many of Madonna’s show-stopping looks this year, from long textured waves to slick straight strands, but there’s something about the fresh energy this cut is bringing into 2025 that we want to replicate.
