Lunchtime Teeth-Bleaching

Instead of sinking your teeth into lunch, take an hour to lighten up your smile.

After a short exam to determine if bleaching is appropriate for your tooth type, the dentist applies a bleaching gel of 35- to 50- percent hydrogen peroxide and then activates it with a high-intensity or laser light.

For 24 hours after treatment, avoid heavily colored food and drinks (like coffee, wine and soy sauce). Some patients may experience gum irritation or tooth sensitivity.
