Beauty gifts can be tricky to give—shade, scent and ingredient preferences can run the gamut—but when there’s one brand beauty editors really swear by, we can’t help but take the risk and share the obsession. One such brand this season is overwhelmingly Jones Road. The Bobbi Brown-founded brand was name-dropped by not one, not two or three, but four editors (so far) as the beauty brand they’re gifting to friends and family this season. Naturally, I pressed further on which products they had in mind and why. Keep reading to see what they said.
Jones Road Miracle Balm in Dusty Rose ($38)
“I can’t think of a line that more people have asked me about over the past couple of years than Jones Road. Everything is beyond good. It’s great for mature skin but also kind of a no-brainer for those of us who have suspect makeup skills. I’m obsessed with the Miracle Balm in Dusty Rose—it’s really all you need to look instantly better.” —Liz Ritter, executive editor
“The Miracle Balm (my go-to shade is Dusty Rose) is a game-changer for a quick, healthy glow. It gives me a soft hint of color and just makes me look alive without looking overdone or feeling sticky—perfect if you’re into that no-makeup makeup vibe.” —Tatiana Bido, aesthetic content manager
Jones Road The Lip Pencil ($22)
“I wasn’t sure about this at first because it doesn’t come with the sharpener (you can buy it separately), but once I tried it, it was love at first line. It has the perfect consistency—not dry, but not too creamy—and I also use it to fill in my entire lip under clear lip gloss. I love the shades Nudist (pictured here) and Nude Pink, but you can’t really go wrong with any of them.” —Britt Burhop Fallon, beauty director
Jones Road Lip and Cheek Palette ($32)
“I was graciously gifted the Miracle Balm Palette III last year and was devastated when it was discontinued. Thankfully, Jones Road has a similar compact out this season, the Lip and Cheek Palette. Available in Golden Pink or Golden Bronze, it includes two complementary shades of the Lip and Cheek Stick and one shade of The Illuminator, a gorgeous highlighter exclusive to the set.” —Leiana Foye, senior digital content producer
Jones Road Miracle Balm in Sunkissed ($38)
“One of the shades in my beloved and aforementioned Miracle Balm III Palette is Sunkissed, a deep reddish bronze that I’d never have picked for myself but am now obsessed with wearing. The hue is the perfect autumnal flush—it’s beyond flattering. When you don’t want to wear a full face of bronzer, it masterfully warms your complexion with just a few swipes.” —Leiana Foye, senior digital content producer
Jones Road The Cleansing Stick ($34)
“I love solid cleansers and this solid oil cleanser is lovely and gentle. It’s made with sunflower, jojoba and avocado oil for a really nourishing feel and gets your makeup off without stripping your skin and leaving it feeling dry.” —Rowan Lyman, staff writer
“The Cleansing Stick takes off makeup and grime without leaving my skin feeling too tight. I like it for an easy, 1, 2, 3 face cleanse. It also feels like a balm so great for dry skin.” —Tatiana Bido, aesthetic content manager
Jones Road What The Foundation ($44)
“The Jones Road Foundation is super natural-looking, like your skin but a little more evened out, and it feels really lightweight. It gives me just enough coverage to look fresh but doesn’t feel cakey or heavy, which is great if you’re not into thick foundation.” —Tatiana Bido, aesthetic content manager
