From starring as Erica on ABC’s long-running “The Goldbergs” (it’s now in season 10!) to releasing chart-topping singles, Hayley Orrantia has solidified herself as a multi-hyphenate in the industry. But, as the 28-year-old tells us, the busy resume does involve a serious amount of travel—as well as tested and TSA-approved beauty trick—as she crisscrosses the country on the regular to shoot in Los Angeles and sing in Nashville.

Magic Combo:

I have really dry skin, so I found a good combination in some Drunk Elephant beauty products. I mix the B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum ($48) with the Protini Polypeptide Cream ($22-$68) and the day/night serum depending on the time of day and my skin loves me for it. If I’m feeling extra dry, I top it off with their Virgin Marula Oil ($38-$68). Makeup-wise, I am obsessed with the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Primer ($26) (Soft Silk). It feels like butter on the skin!

Light Show:

My friend and Nashville-based makeup artist Christin Cook Zito turned me on to the SolaWave, a red-light therapy skincare wand that I love to use! If I’m having any acne outbreaks or my skin just needs a refresher, I will use that alongside their serum. It’s the perfect size to travel with and makes my skin-care routine feel so elevated.

Carry On:

Whenever I am traveling, it can be difficult to keep up with my skin-care routine, but I’ve found a good system of downsizing with travel kits so I don’t miss a beat. I try to hydrate more when traveling, too. As far as wellness goes, I’ve really been into watching reiki on TikTok live. It really grounds me and makes me feel so relaxed, since travel can make me anxious at times. It’s a great meditation tool.

Hydration Helper:

I don’t have a super in-depth skin-care routine on-set. But when my skin is feeling extra dry, I will use Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream ($100) and/or her Magic Serum ($80). And I love using Smith’s Rosebud Salve Lip Balm ($7).

Throwback Tricks:

We used to go heavy on the ’80s hair and makeup a few seasons back. Now, not so much, but back then when we needed my hair to be voluminous and curly, I would wash it the night before and sleep on it damp and it oddly helped a lot with that. We used to use bendable curling rods in my hair to keep the curls as tight as possible early in the day since my hair falls really easily.
