Grande Cosmetics’ Brow Serum Saved My Brows During Postpartum Hair Loss featured image

Most mamas, soon-to-be mamas and anyone who has read a hair-loss story we’ve written in NewBeauty knows the frustrating effects of postpartum hair loss, but did you know it can also impact your eyebrows and eyelashes too? Thankfully I knew this from many in-depth conversations with leading dermatologists and hair restoration surgeons, but I hadn’t experienced it firsthand until recently. My brows, which were very full while I was pregnant (that blast of estrogen nearly gave me Cara Delevingne–level fullness), recently shriveled during my postpartum hair loss stage, becoming sparse and shapeless. But Grande Cosmetics GrandeBROW Brow Enhancing Serum is whipping them back into shape, as it always does. Here’s why I love it.

The Benefits:

This is not one of those products that you use for a month, look in the mirror and think, “This isn’t doing anything for me.” This is a results-producer I rely on for fuller-looking brows, and it’s yet to fail me—I’ve used it many times since its launch in 2014. Founder Alicia Grande and her chemists created the perfect blend of amino acids, antioxidants and vitamins to condition sparse brows—whether you’re guilty of overplucking, your hair is thinning with age, you’re experiencing postpartum hair loss like me (check with your doctor first if you’re nursing), or anything else—and make them look bigger and bolder within four months (one tube lasts that long). It’s also been dermatologist-tested to be safe for the skin and hair in the brows, and it’s a repeat NewBeauty Award Winner—I’m not the only one who loves it!

In a 16-week consumer study with 30 participants, 100 percent of them saw fuller-looking brows, 94 percent saw healthier-looking brows and 91 percent saw thicker-looking brows. I saw all of the above, and everyone I’ve recommended it to over the years has experienced the same.

Key Ingredients:

Amino acids (l-proline), hyaluronic acid, glycosaminoglycans, vitamin E and a botanical extract blend including ginseng root, chamomile flowers and bearberry leaves

What It’s Free From:

Parabens

How to Use It:

It’s almost too easy: Just swipe the tiny brush applicator over your brows once a day (I like to use it at night; I keep it near my toothbrush so I don’t forget it) to disperse the serum. Even if my entire brow isn’t sparse, I apply it on the whole thing, but you can also just focus it on the tail, inner corner or arch—wherever you need improved fullness. The serum dries within a minute or two, so try not to touch your brows during that time.

What It Feels Like:

A light serum that easily coats brow hairs

What It Smells Like:

Nothing

The Bottom Line:

There’s a reason this tiny gold tube has hundreds of five-star reviews—it works!

Price/Where to Buy:

$73, grandecosmetics.com
