Emily Blunt and John Krasinski may capture our attention on the red carpet, but it’s Blunt’s radiant skin that steals the show. Celebrity facialist Lord Gavin McLeod Valentine says for the 2024 Critics Choice Awards he prepped Blunt’s skin with a variety of treatments and one ultra-luxe skin-care brand.

Mcleod’s facial prep involves a gentle massage using Augustinus Bader The Cleansing Balm ($80), followed by an Oxygen Infusion, cryo sticks, Contour Kinetic Suction, LED light, and radio frequency. Throughout the process, McLeod incorporated Augustinus Bader’s The Face Oil ($265), Face Cream Mask ($220), The Ultimate Soothing Cream ($300) and The Rich Cream ($300). To ensure the Oppenheimer best supporting actress nominee arrived relaxed, McLeod concluded the session with a calming guided meditation.

To “bring vibrancy, hydration and enhance tone,” Mcleod says he relies on techniques of fascia manipulation, rhythmic massage and radio frequency. “We trigger a reaction that amplifies the connectivity of the skin tissue and accelerates the function of the products, providing results that are visible instantly rather than over time.” Judging by the star’s flawless complexion, it’s clear that McLeod’s approach lives up to its promises.
