Her show may be coming to a close, but Ellen DeGeneres has started on a new venture: skin care.

DeGeneres first announced the launch of the line—it’s called Kind Science—on her show at the beginning of the month. “There’s something that I’m very excited about,” DeGeneres said during her last episode. “I have been working on this for three years and I’m excited to share it with you today. I finally figured out how to turn the flashlight off on my phone.” All jokes aside, the talkshow host continues: “I have a skin-care line and it’s finally coming out on October 26…so it’s called Kind Science. It is age-positive skin care that actually works. It is so good. I’m so excited about this.”

Starting today, the line has officially launched and is available on kindscience.com. The products are suitable for all skin types, formulated without harsh chemicals, fragrances or preservatives and are jam-packed with hard-hitting ingredients from vitamin C to the plant-based alternative to retinol, bakuchiol. According to the brand, the products are not meant to reverse signs of aging, but rather to celebrate aging while helping to achieve your best skin—regardless of your age.

In a recent event with Kind Science, co-founder Victoria Jackson, who has been working in the beauty industry for more than 30 years, says, “The one thing I know and what hasn’t changed in 30 years of doing this is that everyone wants to look great and, even when you’re younger, you have to start thinking about good skin. That’s what Kind Science is: It’s all about highly-curated, globally sourced plants with just the right amount of kind science, which is used to activate the plants. The pillars of the brand are built on being animal kind, planet kind and skin kind. It had to be something everybody could use at all ages and it was very important for us to make it age-positive.”

Taking a deeper dive into the products, there are seven skin-loving products, all of which are housed with powerhouse botanicals and patented peptides. Included in the launch: vitamin C- and kakadu plum-enriched Gentle Cleanser ($22), resurfacing and ultra-hydrating Micro Exfoliant+ ($28), wrinkle-fighting and bakuchiol-infused Firming Serum ($48), omega-rich Hydration Cream ($43), super brightening Eye Cream ($32), visibly firming and smoothing Neck Treatment ($38) and meadowfoam-, jojoba- and moringa oil-based Radiance Oil ($38). “Product innovation is my forte and I’m incredibly proud of this skin-care line we’ve created with all the amazing textures and performance-driven formulas that give real results while being kind to your skin, animals and the planet,” says Jackson.

At the tail end of the event, DeGeneres herself made an appearance and shared why this line is so important to her. “Apparently, we all just age and there’s nothing we can do about it. We’re going to loose collagen and loose elasticity and the best thing we can do is pay attention to what we put in and on our body…I learned a tremendous amount about why the stuff that I was using all through the years wasn’t working. I thought, as I made more money, I could afford more expensive products and I thought, ‘well, those have to be the best because they’re more expensive.’ Anyway, I learned that my skin did not like any of that and it was very sensitive. The more I had makeup on for hours and hours and sat under bright lights, I wanted something gentle that I could use every day and this stuff makes my skin the best its ever looked. I have aged over these past few years and oddly enough, my skin looks younger than it did three years ago when I started this journey.”
