A Minute With
1
CAREER-DEFINING PATIENT
I recently treated a patient whose nose and face had become disfigured from a terrible car accident. I was able to rebuild her nose by using bones from her ribs. Afterward, she was finally able to go out in public feeling comfortable and happy with the way she looked. The surgery changed her life and it was extremely gratifying for me as well

4
WHAT SETS MY PRACTICE APART
We focus exclusively on facial plastic surgery rather than the entire body; this allows us to have vast and refined experience in the structures of the face and the know-how to develop uniquely tailored treatment plans for our patients
5
MY MOTTO
Providing high-quality care in a nonjudgmental, collaborative atmosphere
6
WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY PROFESSION
Facial plastic surgery is the fusion of my greatest passions: science, artistry and architecture. It allows me to reconcile the studies I truly enjoy in a way that improves people’s lives
7
CELEB PHOTOS MY PATIENTS MOST OFTEN BRING IN
The Kardashian family; mainly Kylie Jenner for her lips. Previously it was Ashley Simpson’s nose and Megan Fox’s brow structure
8
MOST MEMORABLE PATIENT REACTION
A mother-of-the-bride patient stated that she was dreading being in photos. We performed a total facial
rejuvenation on her a few months prior to the wedding. After the wedding, she was so excited to show me photos. She not only looked beautiful, but also felt beautiful which is the most important part
9
HOW DO YOU MANAGE PATIENT EXPECTATIONS?
I always offer complimentary consultations, during which we can do 3-D imaging to give patients an idea of what their results would look like. I find that this no-pressure environment allows them to openly discuss what their goals and expectations are and we can address all possible procedures and outcomes together. I also take a lot of time with my patients for a thorough consultation, and meet with them on multiple occasions, if necessary, to make sure we are both comfortable with the plan.
10
MY MOST REQUESTED PROCEDURES
A surprising amount of people reach out to me for otoplasty (ear surgery). Other than that, my most requested procedures are rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery and facial rejuvenation.
11
HOW CAN YOU TELL IF AN EYELID LIFT OR BROWLIFT IS APPROPRIATE?
I provide a thoughtful facial analysis. I would do a browlift when someone has droopy brows. It’s critically important not to create a surprised look with a browlift. An eyelid lift is necessary when the eyelids are droopy; by getting rid of extra skin on the eyelid we can create a more refreshed look
12
WHAT ARE YOU BEST KNOWN FOR?
Natural-looking results
13
WHO IS THE BEST CANDIDATE FOR A FACELIFT?
Anyone who is starting to see sagging in the lower face and neck. Areas that tend to sag in the lower face are sometimes referred to as jowls or a turkey neck
14
WHAT IS THE BEST FACIAL TREATMENT IF YOU’RE NOT READY FOR A FACELIFT?
People tend to lose volume in their face in their 40s so volume rejuvenation via fillers or fat transfer, coupled with a short scar
or minimally invasive facelift, provide the best outcomes. These procedures will tighten the neck and jawline
15
WHICH FACIAL PROCEDURES ARE CURRENTLY TRENDING AT YOUR PRACTICE?
Minimal-recovery rhinoplasty and minimally invasive facelift. We specialize in facial procedures that make a big impact with the least amount of downtime
16
WHAT IS THE BIGGEST BEAUTY MYTH OUT THERE RIGHT NOW?
People seem to invest a lot of money in eye creams with the misconception that they can alleviate puffy eye bags and wrinkles. The only procedure that can truly make puffy eyes and wrinkles disappear forever is a lower blepharoplasty
17
WHICH NEW TREATMENT OR PROCEDURE ARE YOU REALLY EXCITED ABOUT RIGHT NOW?
Right now I’m very excited about integrating Exosomes, or stem cells from bone marrow, into our facial rejuvenation procedures. It also seems incredibly exciting in hair loss and hair thinning in both men and women
18
WHICH TREATMENTS ARE YOUR FAVORITE TO COMBINE?
The holy trinity of facial anti-aging: a facelift with a laser procedure and fat transfer or fillers
