Known for her sensitive and cutting-edge approach to the management and correction of hair loss and the treatment of pigment disorders, board-certified dermatologist and professor of dermatology Dr. Valerie D. Callender is the saving grace for many women plagued with skin and hair concerns. She is a recognized expert in hair loss treatment, having served as president of the American Dermatological Association, the Skin of Color Society, the Women’s Dermatological Society, and a board member of the American Academy of D ermatology. It is her breadth of knowledge and experience with the specific needs of hair loss sufferers that has allowed her to help so many of her patients. “Our hair is our crown and glory,” she says, “and I consider it my obligation to help others restore and maintain their crowns.
