“Days Of Our Lives” Star Arianne Zucker Shares Her Beauty Secrets featured image

You probably know her better as Nicole Walker, one of Salem’s most notoriously scandalous residents on Days of Our Lives, but there is another scheme-free side to Arianne Zucker, who has portrayed Nicole since 1998. NewBeauty caught up with Zucker to learn more about how this busy mother, philanthropist and daytime star stays looking so amazing.

You maintain a pretty demanding schedule. How do find time to stay in such great shape?

When you really want something, I think you can always find time for it—that goes for anything in life. I have also always played sports or competed in equestrian events for the majority of my life. I can’t imagine not doing some kind of workout. Right now I have been working out with my husband (ouch) and golfing quite a bit. You really have to be centered in that sport so I work out three days a week. I do more of a well-rounded workout, meaning I work out three different muscle groups at a time. The third day is cardio.
What are some of your must-have beauty products?
I keep L’Occitane shea butter with me all the time. I have really dry skin, so I need to moisturize a lot. As far as makeup—I am just a mascara, blush (L’Oréal or Maybelline) and lip gloss (Neutrogena MoistureShine gloss) kind of a gal.

What is the one skin-care product you don’t leave the house without?

Either Cetaphil or L’Occitane hand cream.

You’ve worn both light and darker hair colors very well. Which do you prefer?

I like the darker because my hair is so healthy, but they say the color you were as a kid is your best shade. I was dirty blond.

What are some of your must-have hair products?

I’m loving KMS Sea Salt Spray lately. It’s great for the beach look.

What have you learned about beauty over the years?

As I have gotten older, I have learned that when it comes to makeup, less is more. As women, our features get more defined with age. I don’t think we should enhance them with more makeup. I have also learned to embrace my curly hair. I have always blown it out and straightened it, but by allowing it to curl, it has gotten healthier and happier.

And what everyone really wants to know: Do you have anything in common with Nicole Walker?

Except for the fact that I love her? No. I like to learn from my mistakes. I do try to instill those pieces in Nicole, but she never listens.
