Catherine Zeta-Jones turned 48 yesterday (what?!) and looks better than ever. The secrets to her age-defying appearance? The Feud actress spilled some of her best beauty secrets in a recent interview with W, and we were all ears.

To maintain her youthful glow, Zeta-Jones believes in beauty from the inside out. Her best practices? “Water, maintaining my pH balance, no alcohol and thorough diet keeping my body free of any inflammation inside and out.” She also relies on exercise—swimming, tennis, peloton, her home gym and tap dancing—as well as cold pressed juice and kombucha.

However, beauty on the outside is still important, especially being in the Hollywood spotlight. The products she credits for her dewy, spot-free skin include Rhonda Allison Pumpkin E Serum ($32), Sarah Chapman Skinesis Overnight Facial ($90) and Methode Physiodermie Soft Face Biopeeling. And the one skin care product she says is underrated? Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream ($22), and we couldn’t agree more.

She also abides by her doctor’s orders for healthy skin, saying her dermatologist’s best advice is, “Don’t forget to check your whole body for new and different shape freckles, not just your face, but the bits you don’t look at every day.” Now that’s one piece of advice we should all follow. Annual skin care checks are important, but you know your body better than any doctor ever will, so be aware of any changes. Prevention is always easier than treatment.
