Managing motherhood and stardom is no easy feat, and it’s inarguable that Underwood always looks great doing it. Today, the star took fans through a “day in the life” Instagram story which revealed tons of her secrets for looking and feeling her best, including this healthy pre-show dinner.
Underwood’s series of Instagram stories posted throughout the last 24 hours gave fans an inside look into her everything from her morning routine, to her daily tour bus workout, to her pre-show dinner, and it’s no wonder why the 38-year old is always in tip top shape. When it comes to dinner on tour, the singer reveals that she eats the exact same healthy dinner everyday with “no exceptions.” Simple, quick and nourishing, the meal consists of two eggs, half of an avocado and an array of veggies and hummus.
But what’s a good day without a good breakfast and lunch? For Underwood, breakfast is primarily there to give her fuel for her morning workout, so she sticks to an Urban Remedy Golden Turmeric Bar ($4.50)—or any of their flavors—which is just “enough to get [her] going,” and it avoids dairy which is a must for performance days. After “crushing” her tour bus workout, for lunch, Underwood shared her plate complete with edamame, hard boiled eggs—fresh from her own chickens—and lupini beans which she says are one of her go-to snacks thanks to its high protein count.
