Every time I clean my makeup brushes and sponges, I’m always shocked at how much product was left in the tool and wonder how much money is running down the drain with it. However, if you’re not ready to give up your favorite tool because of how much product you lose to it before it even hits your face, listen up: One ahead-of-the-trend Reddit user may have found the ultimate solution to this age-old beauty problem in a crevice of the internet.

Named the SiliSponge ($24), the clear and smooth tool looks like it’s made out of silicone and claims to apply makeup seamlessly without wasting product or using your fingers. “I found a website selling it and the description says that liquid foundation goes right on the sponge then is directly applied to the face,” Reddit user "rvgue" says of the original image in question. “The nonporous design allows minimal product to be wasted and is ridiculously easy to clean.”
Hong Kong–based retailer Molly Cosmetics seems to be the only store carrying the tool at the moment, and posted some instructional videos on how to use the SiliSponge on their Facebook to give us an idea of what to expect. Intrigued? You can buy one for yourself here.
