In quarantine, we’re all looking to find a side-hobby to pick up (and one that will also keep us busy). Surprisingly, my newest distraction has been beauty organization, aka finding ways to amp up my at-home aesthetics while I’m stuck here.

While my constant ordering of open shelving, bookcases, display units and trays isn’t going to cut it for long, I’ve never felt more at peace than having all my makeup, skin-care and fragrance besties looking oh-so clean and neatly organized. Spending is hard these days, but we all need to indulge in some productive self-care once in a while. If you find yourself in the same boat, read on for all of the displays I’m either saving on Insta or adding to cart.

A mirrored tray is a perfect way to add a vintage feel into your space. Whether you decide to boost your dresser or bathroom counter, it holds more products than you would think (and shows off jewelry really nicely, too). My favorite dupe? The 1960s Vintage Filigree Gilt Mirror Vanity Tray ($42) from Chairish.

If you’re looking for something to attach to your wall (read: if you’re completely out of storage space and reverting to wall space) this is a stunning, affordable and neutral shelving unit that will wow anyone who walks into your space. You can purchase this exact piece here: The Belle Maison Metal and Wood Shelf ($25).

A marble tray is wonderful for brightening up any room, especially if all of your skin-care goodies are keeping it company. Like in the photo above, I line up my most-used perfumes and candles for an effect that’s light on the eyes. We love the French Kitchen Marble Rectangle Tray ($40).

Clear, acrylic shelving is great for bringing focus to your products and helping them to stand out. Whether you prefer a three-tiered or two-tiered unit, you can’t go wrong with propping these up in the corner of your bathroom counter. This Diamond Cosmetic Storage Box ($30) is sturdy and also swivels for easy access. To get the look for less, grab a cake stand or two from the kitchen and get to organizing.

Who doesn’t love the feeling of a hydrating mist, especially when its chilled? This mini refrigerator keeps your skin-care products cold while radiating all the cool-girl vibes you can possibly get in a bathroom. I love keeping my moisturizers and eye creams in my fridge—it makes such a difference in waking me up in the morning. This one is by Makeup Fridge ($80).

In terms of makeup vanities, this one takes the cake. It’s small, chic and convenient for storing your makeup with the opportunity to close the lid and turn it into a lovely side table. If you don’t want your makeup on full display for guests to see, purchasing this is your best bet. A great alternative is the Bobby Berk Anja Vanity Desk bu A.R.T Furniture, ringing in at a steep, but chic, $950.
