If you ask any celebrity which person in Hollywood smells the best, most of their answers would probably be Rihanna. But if you ask Benson Boone, he'd name himself—that's at least what he did in a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar. The 22-year-old pop star recently partnered with Armani around the launch of its Stronger With You Parfum ($130), and he briefly spoke about his grooming routine and relationship with fragrance.
"I like to keep my daily fragrance light," the singer said. "I just walk through a few sprays." While Boone is known for having some pretty over-the-top on-stage fashions, his grooming routine is pretty pared-down or "simple," as he calls it. "I keep it simple—do a bit to the hair, some fragrance, good to go," he says.
The Stronger With You Parfum is a warm, woody scent with top notes of pepper, vanilla and lavender. While vanilla scents have a reputation for being pretty muted, this one has a much bolder scent profile, which would explain Armani's decision to partner with Boone, given his public persona.
Boone also told InStyle that wearing the fragrance "helps me feel a bit more confident, a bit more strong and sexy." He continued, saying, "I like to wear something that makes me feel good because I am pickier on what I smell like. When I know that I smell good and when people aren't going to be like, 'Oh, some B.O. there, Mr. Boone,' I like that, and I like to feel like I don't have to worry about it."
