America Ferrera has been an advocate for self-love, authenticity and individuality since her breakthrough role in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. After starring in a handful of shows and movies, including Ugly Betty and Superstore, Ferrera solidified her spot in Hollywood.
Ferrera is now adding another role to her resume. “I am an actor, a director, a businesswoman, a mom, a Latina, a first-generation American; and now, I am a CoverGirl,” said Ferrera in a statement.
Ferrera’s makeup looks span from glamorous red carpets to day-to-day looks she sports while spending time with her children. “Easy and natural makeup has always been my favorite kind of beauty. I like to feel and look like myself,” said Ferrera in the statement. Some of her favorite CoverGirl products are Lash Blast Clean Mascara and the Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation.
The 37-year-old said being a CoverGirl will be an extension of the beliefs she holds. “For me, beauty is about loving and accepting myself first and foremost and as a CoverGirl, I want to share that message; Your uniqueness is what makes you beautiful and your authentic identity is your superpower,” said Ferrera.
