Forget the heavy foundation, when it came to creating the perfect canvas for tonight’s Emmys, nominee Reese Witherspoon opted for some simple tinted SPF.
According to celebrity makeup artist Tracey Levy, Witherspoon’s sculpted, smokey glam was inspired by the dark elegance of her blue-jeweled gown. “I wanted her to feel strong and confident, as well as sexy,” shared Levy, who used an assortment of staples from Well People for The Morning Show star.
For her complexion, Levy went “light,” applying the line’s zinc-powered, plant seed oil–packed Bio Tint SPF 30 Tinted Moisturizer in 5N ($30) to “blur imperfections, build coverage and perfect a dewy finish all while keeping the skin luminous and protected.”
For a bit of extra coverage, Levy then used a bit of the Bio Stick Foundation in 1C and 2W ($27) around Witherspoon’s nose, mouth and under eyes with a soft, fluffy brush to provide coverage and keep the look lightweight and finished off the skin with “a dab” of Bio Correct Multi Action Concealer in 1C ($20).
“I applied that lightly to the under eyes to conceal any imperfections, neutralize discoloration and highlight the under-eye area.”
