Introducing Ole Henriksen Cold Plunge Pore Remedy Moisturizer ($46), launched today, the perfect topper for the days where your skin needs a hug of moisture and a burst of energy.
According to the brand, the product was specifically inspired by the "cold plunge" step of the Scandinavian sauna cycle, which includes a trip to a hot sauna preceding a dip in a freezing ice bath. This ritualistic practice is said to energize the system, eliminate toxins and activate circulation. The cream also houses ingredients that thrive in a freezing environment like alpine willowherb, an antioxidant-rich botanical that's pinned for it's ability to calm the skin and provide relief. Other hard-hitters included in the mix: algae, eucalyptus, green tea and Irish moss extracts to help refine and clear the pores.
To help loosen clogging dead skin cells, the cooling cream houses BHA (beta hydroxy acid) and LHA (lypo hydroxy acid), two powerhouses the brand says work great on oily to combination skin types to keep skin leaning on the matte side. Plus, the cream claims to smooth fine lines and even a blotchy complexion.
