Mindy Kaling is a certified beauty junkie, and according to a recent sit-down Allure, she's "always been obsessed with the new stuff." But despite all the testing, trying and collecting, there are a few products that always stay on her vanity—and they're to thank for her always-glowing skin.

Kaling has a relatively fast skin-care routine, but the few products she uses are hard-hitting and effective. To start, "I take a wet washcloth, put it in really hot water, wring it out and try to take off the first layer of makeup—no product at all on it, just a hot washcloth—so that when I use a cleanser, it's not just getting wasted as a makeup remover."

Next, she'll dissolve any leftover makeup with the Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser ($34) before exfoliating off the day with Tatcha The Rice Polish Foaming Enzyme Powder ($65). "I get that into all the nooks and crannies of my nose, my eyebrows and my jawline," she says.

Next, she applies La Mer The Oil Absorbing Tonic ($95), which helps to reduce excess sebum production on the skin to rebalance and smooth. Another exfoliant the 42-year-old swears by: SkinCeuticals Retexturing Activator ($82), a moisture-balancing serum that reinforces the external barrier of the skin as it softens rough and uneven texture. Before applying La Mer moisturizer, she applies Joanna Vargas Supernova Serum ($295) to brighten and protect.
