The foundation hack is fascinating.

Met co-chair Colman Domingo’s red carpet look did not disappoint tonight. According to his groomer, Jamie Richmond, the goal was some long-lasting glow, which she successfully achieved—even in the rain.

“When approaching men’s makeup, I like to really focus on making sure my talent has a healthy glow to last the night,” she says of the full Valentino Beauty lineup.

To start, Richmond used the Valentino Beauty V-Lighter Face Base Primer and Highlighter ($58). “This serves as a primer that gives 24-hour illuminating hydration. I then go in with Very Valentino 24 Hour Wear Liquid Foundation ($60) to perfect his complexion.”

One of the glam-secret hacks, Richmond shares: “For most men, I don’t love a full-coverage concealer, which makes Very Valentino Concealer ($39) perfect for me! It’s a medium coverage, buildable concealer with caffeine and vitamin E, which help depuff and brighten.”

To really accentuate Domingo’s features, Richmond then added the 24-hour Valentino Beauty Colorgraph Eyeliner pencils ($38) in shade Black. “They are super creamy and blendable! To round out the look, I press a bit of the new Valentino Beauty Puffer Gloss in Shade 520R Moonlight Crush ($38) to the center of his lip for a touch of shine.”
