It's one thing to achieve cult-classic status amongst social media users, but being chosen as a product to be used during the biggest night in fashion and beauty—the MET Gala—is a whole other ball game. While Clinique's Black Honey has solidified itself as a fan-favorite, its use on supermodel and actress Iris Law at last night's "Sleeping Beauties" MET Gala put the product on a whole new playing field.

Iris Law's vintage fall/winter 2002 Versace gown was show-stopping in and of itself, with the fabric looking like it was taken straight from the wings of a butterfly and draped onto the supermodel's body, but her "soft vampire" glam—as Law's makeup artist Anne Sophia Costa coined it—was equally as captivating. The look featured tons of Clinique staples like the brand's Hi-Fi High Impact Mascara ($28) and All About Shadow Quad ($39), but the product that tied it all together was, of course, the Almost Lipstick in Black Honey.
"The look is about softness in a dramatic way—a little bit of a ‘soft vampire,' says Costa, "So, we decided to go with soft colors like gray and mauves to create a dramatic look on the eyes, giving that extra intensity and definition. This complements the beautiful matte skin finish and the lips topped with Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey, brings together that subtle soft intensity.”
