In May of 2020, CBD line Lord Jones announced its partnership with actress Kristen Bell to develop body-care products under the brand name Happy Dance. Fast-forward to July of this year, the brand is adding to its repertoire and launching its first-ever facial skin-care product, available at Ulta.
According to Glossy, Look Alive Facial Cream ($29) hits shelves on July 13. Among its impressive ingredient lineup: 150 mg of full-spectrum CBD, collagen-boosting bisabolol, hydrating hyaluronic acid and smoothing avocado oil.
"We always had facial skin care in the pipeline,” says general manager of Happy Dance and Lord Jones Summer Frein in an interview with Glossy. “We’ve been talking with Kristen from the beginning about the brand concept. How she got introduced into CBD by way of Lord Jones was largely through topicals."
Frein also explains the inspiration behind the skin-calming cream: “When you think about everyday stress, especially everyday stressors that moms feel, that’s where the ‘Look Alive’ name came from...When you’re thinking about the limited sleep and all the laundry and traveling with your kids cross country, this is intended to make your skin look alive and awake.”
The brand has also announced their plans to focus on facial skin care throughout the rest of 2021—we can't wait to see what's coming down the pipeline.
