The Hollywood recipe for red carpet success starts with skin. A beautiful, flawless complexion is the best accessory for anyone in attendance and those who walked the carpet at the 94th Academy Awards stars did not disappoint. Here, how the stars got ready for the grand return of the biggest night in Hollywood.

Jessica Chastain

Celebrity aesthetician Lord Gavin McLeod-Valentine gave Chastain his skin-perfecting facial ahead the awards. "I treated Jessica to my signature facial treatment incorporating my bespoke rhythmic massage with cryo —leaving her skin, sculpted, hydrated and enlivened in advance of her glam and skin prep," he shared.

"Skin care is the first step of glamour," celebrity makeup artist Kristopher Buckle said about treating best actress nominee Chastain's flawless face. The star had previously stated she was willing to skip the festivities to support her The Eyes of Tammy Faye makeup and hair team who were also nominated for an award, but whose category was cut from the broadcast. To prep her red-carpet look, Buckle shared that he used Crème de la Mer The Treatment Lotion ($180) and the Hydrating Infused Emulsion ($260), which gave her a lit-from-within superstar glow.

Amy Schumer

The Life & Beth star and Oscars co-host visited celebrity aesthetician Georgia Louise for a star-worthy pre-hosting facial treatment ahead of the evening's events. For her base, celebrity makeup artist Mia Jones used Clé de Peau Beauté Brightening Mask Treatment Supreme ($300) and Brightening Serum Supreme ($330). To further the glow, Jones used the Brightening Enhancer Veil SPF 32 ($80) illuminating primer over the high points of her face and to contour her cheeks.

Celebrity hairstylist Kimberly Gueldner used Better Not Younger hair care to create a coif that complemented the host’s sparkling Oscar de la Renta gown. “We did a modern take on Old Hollywood,” says Gueldner. “A soft, pretty blowout with a deep side part and tucked behind one ear. The look has a timeless elegance.”

Vanessa Hudgens

Doing double duty with a professional treatment beforehand with celebrity aesthetician Joanna Vargas, Oscar’s Pre-Show host Vanessa Hudgens underwent a pre-show facial treatment as her makeup artist Tonya Brewer used the SolaWave Blue Light Therapy Wand ($159) to prep skin and prevent future breakouts by reducing acne-causing bacteria.
