Cardi B’s long-awaited hair-care brand, Grow-Good, has officially arrived, only to sell out within 45 minutes. The 33-year-old rapper first teased the launch this past February, calling it her “baby.” Now, it’s finally out in the world and already making its mark.
Grow-Good’s debut range includes six products: Wash Cycle Repair Shampoo ($15) and Soft Serve Repair Conditioner ($15), each available in two formulations, along with the Get Rich Hydrating Mask ($20) and the Everything Serum ($18). As she explained to Elle, the decision to launch with multiple shampoo and conditioner options came from an early realization that different hair types require different care.
“I really wanted people to understand that we all have different types of hair,” she told the outlet. “I learned that [early in life] because my sister and I and my mom have different hair textures. My daughter [Kulture] and I, you would think that we have the same hair texture, but we don’t. Her hair is very delicate. I could drench my hair in castor oil—castor oil is thick.”

“However, if you put castor oil on Kulture’s hair, it becomes brittle,” she continued. “You could literally yank some of her hair out. So I learned to put coconut oil on her hair, grapeseed oil, [since] the consistency is not as thick. We all have different hair textures, and I always try to explain that to everybody who works on my product line.”
That said, the Grow-Good shampoo and conditioner come in Wash Cycle and Wash Cycle+, the latter of which is designed for “thirsty hair that drinks up moisture fast,” such as “textured hair types and anyone with damaged or heavily treated hair in need of serious repair.”

The Get Rich Hydrating Mask draws inspiration from a DIY treatment Cardi B made for her daughter in June 2020—one that later went viral on social media and helped shape the line’s approach to hair care—while the Everything Serum, true to its name, adds shine, smooths, protects hair from heat, calms frizz and more.
That intention carries through to how the line was developed. “This is not something that I slapped my name on,” the hitmaker told Elle about its release. “This is not something that I worked on for just a year. Grow-Good is something that I was cursing people out [about] every single day. People who work with me probably hate me right now because I tested this product so many times.”
Beyond the formulas themselves, Grow-Good feels like a natural extension of the OG DIY mask she made for her daughter, which used avocado, eggs and a mix of oils. The current lineup leans into that same oil-rich approach, this time developed in a lab and tested by a range of professionals. It’s basically what she’s been doing all along—this time, bottled.
Ahead, check out the line and join the waitlist ahead of its restock.
