Fragrances are taking a turn for the juicy. As a beauty editor who scours new-arrivals sections on the regular like it’s my job (it kind of is), I’ve noticed berry fragrances popping up in big numbers. And I’m not just referring to a single, slightly elusive “berry” note, but a range, including strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries, to name a handful. Their appeal spans fragrance categories, too, from versatile body mists to heady eau de parfums.
Experts are noticing the shift, too. Senior perfumer Darryl Do of Delbia Do Fragrances sees an evolution from earlier versions. "Berry fragrances—perfumes and body sprays—from the early 2000s leaned very juicy, sugary or had some aquatic brightness," he explains. "The sparkling feeling of fruit was fun, fresh and youthful. Although berries have always been paired with musks, woods, ambers, florals and other supporting notes, there seems to be more exploration of these combos with gourmand notes, matcha, spice and more.
"When sweetness is present," Do continues, "pairing berry notes with something that gives it more depth rather than standing as sugary fruit" is what separates the new wave of berry fragrances from their early-2000s counterparts. You can see that growth in new releases: Yves Saint Laurent’s Libre Berry Crush blends raspberry with lavender and vanilla bourbon, giving the fruit warmth and structure instead of letting it run syrupy. On the lighter end of the spectrum, PHLUR’s Berry Cream Body Mist pairs strawberries with whipped vanilla and soft musk for a spritz that feels airy and softly gourmand, not straight-up sweet.
Ahead, I've linked these fragrances and more of the best berry perfumes of 2026, along with details about what makes each one unique so you can find the perfect match for you. I compiled this list based on testing the actual fragrances myself, studying up on Fragrantica, and scouring reader reviews to only bring you the best of the berry best.
