The first Monday in May may be known for its jaw-dropping creative looks and super chic memorable moments, but besides the fashion, the Met Gala is also a time for some really solid, deserves-the-spotlight skin care. Here’s the lowdown on which dermatologist-approved, science-backed products we know will be revealed on the red carpet:
Clinique
It’s a brand that needs no introduction, but you can expect to see Cynthia Erivo attending the Met Gala with a full Clinique beauty look, courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Joanna Simkin.
Murad
Long-trusted doc brand Murad is teaming up with celebrity makeup artist Ashley Stewart, who will be prepping Simone Biles’ skin for the big night. Insiders tell us Stewart will be using some of the brand’s hero products for the tennis star, including the Retinal Resculpt Body Treatment ($79), Clarifying Water Gel ($49), Clarifying Toner ($30), Targeted Eye Depuffer ($64) and more.
Aquaphor
Celebrity makeup artist Vera Steimberg will be working with the one-and-only Zoe Saldaña for her red carpet look, featuring Aquaphor.
EltaMD
In a first for the beloved derm-trusted brand, EltaMD will participate in the Met Gala this year. The brand will be working with celebrity makeup artist Lisa Aharon, who will prep Rachel Brosnahan‘s skin. And, word on the skin-care street is that the majority of it is SPF products. A win for timing, Met Monday is also Melanoma Monday.
First Aid Beauty
Working with celebrity makeup artist Amber Dreadon for Clairo to prep her skin, First Aid Beauty will showcase just a few of its standout products, including the Facial Radiance Pads ($38), Brighten + Glow Eye Cream ($36) and Hydrating Dewy Gel Cream ($38). According to the brand, all products undergo allergy tests and/or safety-in-use assessments, overseen by independent dermatologists, ensuring clinically-proven results without causing harmful side effects.
POND’s
Sensitive skin–backed POND’S is partnering with celebrity makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez via POND’S Fresh Hydration Gel Moisturizer Collection to create a fresh-faced, glowy-skin look for Sabrina Carpenter at this year’s Met Gala.
