Facialists are skin-care experts, so copying their at-home routine is always a safe bet, especially when their clients are the likes of Jessica Alba, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Shay Mitchell and January Jones. Shani Darden is a beloved celebrity facialist with a line of products stars stock up on between treatments ,and she recently told CNN about some of her favorite skin-care products.

Darden says she uses Supergoop Play Everyday Lotion SPF 50 ($10-$58), noting she liked the ability to knock out a moisturizer and sun protection in one step. “It’s an SPF 50, but like an all-in-one, and I’m done,” Darden said.

Everyone should have a vitamin C serum in their daily routine, and Darden likes IS Clinical Pro-Heal Serum Advance+ ($158) to help combat her melasma. For a hydrating serum, Darden turns to Dr. Nigma Serum No. 1 ($185). In the summer, those with oily skin can skip moisturizer and rely on a hyaluronic acid serum, like this one, to do the trick, said Darden.

Of course, Darden employs her own products in her skin-care regimen too. Shani Darden by Déesse PRO LED Light Mask ($1,900) is the newest addition to Darden’s lineup and promises to combat signs of aging, acne and pigmentation using red, infrared and blue wavelengths. Other products from her line that Darden uses daily include Cleansing Serum ($38), Sake Toning Essence ($52), Lactic Acid AHA Exfoliating Serum ($88) and Retinol Reform Treatment Serum ($88).
