At last week’s Golden Globe Awards, six leading ladies donned the same nude lipstick. Tonight, A Black Lady Sketch Show‘s Issa Rae joins that group. Looking absolutely flawless in a champagne Pamela Roland gown, the actress graced the red carpet (actually this year it was a silver carpet) with a full face of CHANEL makeup.

“I was inspired by the classic glamour of both Diana Ross and Diahann Carroll,” says celebrity makeup artist Joanna Simkin. “I went for a winter-cool shimmer on the eyes, cheekbones and lips by applying Ombre Première Laque Longwear Liquid Eyeshadow in Rayon on the eyes, Les Beiges Healthy Glow Winter Blush in Mauve Glacé on the cheekbones, and 31 Le Rouge Satin Lipstick in Rouge Beige on the lips.”

This appears to be the lip color of Awards season and the perfect shade for all skin tones. At last week’s Golden Globes, we saw it on Margot Robbie, Ali Wong, Emily Blunt, Jennifer Aniston, Brie Larson and Keri Russell. Tonight, Ellen Pompeo and now Issa Rae are sporting the lipstick. According to CHANEL, this is “the most singular lipstick from the House, inspired by an iconic address: 31 rue Cambon, the birthplace of CHANEL creation.”

Simkin lined Rae’s lips in a darker shade of lip pencil—Le Crayon Lèvres Longwear Lip Pencil in Rouge Noir—for a pretty contrast. Complementing her makeup, Rae’s skin looked smooth and radiant. Simkin applied Sublimage Le Soin Perfecteur Ultimate Radiance-Enhancing Priming Moisturizer for the ultimate prep, and topped it with Les Beiges Winter Glow Primer in Light Copper. The bottom line: Issa Rae issa vision.
